  broom and brush,
carefully so as not to muss
 or fragment the buried shards
long ago trashed or discarded
as broken or obsolete;
or simply forgotten  now obscure



delving beneath the crust
in the dungheap
entrusted with relics and ruins
thrust there as useless
or felled there by degeneration
   or catastrophe



remnants of times before our time
events played out before you,
before the   I conscious,
came to be



archeology     geology
of persona or spirit;
of corporeal or celestial body
begins on the surface
and makes its way inward and down
before in begins to be out again
(and the circumference and center are one)



you might say I have boundaries:
you might mention my skin
my sex
the earth  solar system  universe
my bank account
my location
my fitness
my humors my wits
my perceptions   illusions
my whims
what I know  think I know
know I know
what I remember
  of what I have learned
  and what I regularly forget

all the thou shalts and shalt nots



you might mention
all the dimensions of time and space



you might hang me up
with super strings
or trip me, singularity,   up
and watch me
taKe a quantum leap
and then procede to
    fall
according to the law of gravity
into the rabbit's black hole



in this archeology
I begin at my skin laid bare
my hair  my nails
my complexioned tans and pales
the color of my eyes
the emerging sounds I make
ruffling and rippling   stirring up
   the sea of air
note scars    lines   and wrinkles
curves and folds  outcroppings
    mounds and depressions
all the events that impinge:
   the sights  the outward sounds
   the scents and tastes and feels and all the
   intersections and interactions between them
